Description

Industrial floor hardening powder Dexter

Industrial floor hardening powder is a ready-made product consisting of synthetic mineral and cement aggregates that is sprayed on fresh concrete surfaces to provide continuous protection against consecutive use, impact and abrasion on the concrete surface.

Features of industrial floor hardening powder
Pre-mixed in the factory which is a guarantee for quality.
Run a cloth on fresh concrete
Fast implementation thus saving time
Better protection of the joints, by applying more material at the end of the piece
Its resistance to erosion, abrasion and impact is higher than ordinary concrete
It becomes part of the concrete structure and therefore neither drums nor separates
Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
Without any need for maintenance, you performed durable.
In addition, the product has features such as: impermeability, easy to apply, easy to clean, cost-effective, does not oxidize, does not dust and has a non-slip final surface

Chemical resistance: in case of proper processing against car oils, mineral, weak acids, 10% saline solutions.

Uses of industrial floor hardening powder
Floors that are used for light and medium traffic.
Foams that are dustproof and a surface with low permeability are considered.
Workshops – Garages – Multi-storey car parks – Warehouses – Factories

Tips in implementing industrial floor hardening powder

The concrete manufacturer must ensure that the water to cement ratio, the amount of cement and the amount of flux are in accordance with the minimum standard and the following values:

Water to cement ratio: minimum 0.4, maximum 0.5
Slump: Optimal 75 mm
Resistance: At least 31 Newtons per square millimeter
Concrete should not be detached or waterlogged and should not contain more than 3% air. For best performance, the use of naphthalene-based water-reducing additives in concrete is recommended.
Concrete layers on which hardening powder is applied must be at least 75 mm thick. After concreting, the concrete surface should be leveled using ingots and then vibrated.

Level the concrete surface with a wooden trowel to avoid excessive polishing. Remove surface watering.
The product is ideally applied to a surface that is neither too dry nor too wet. Ambient temperature is the main factor determining this time. Normally, at temperatures of 35 to 45 degrees Celsius, a time of 45 to 60 minutes after concreting is recommended. This period will be longer at temperatures below 35 ° C.

Spray the material by hand on the wet concrete surface with the help of a long base that is the entire length of the concrete piece. Execution is done in six steps:

Spray two-thirds of the required material evenly on the concrete surface.
Allow the applied material to absorb moisture from the surface.

Spread the powder on the surface using a wooden trowel to make sure it blends in with the original concrete surface.
Apply the rest of the ingredients and after the floor paint has become powder again, spread them on the surface with a wooden trowel.
When the surface is hard enough to accept the weight of a person and only a small depression appears in his footsteps, the execution should be completed using a butterfly trowel. A smooth, non-slip surface will be obtained, but do not overwork the surface.
If the final smoothing is done using hand tools such as metal trowels, this should be done before the concrete hardens against traffic.

Industrial floor hardening powder processing
Processing should begin immediately after the last trowel.
This can be done by covering the surface with plastic sheets or by using processing materials. Get more advice on curing materials by contacting our experts as the choice of materials can vary depending on possible future work on the surface. Note: If properly treated, the desired surface will have a good chemical resistance against car oils, minerals, weak acids, 10% saline solutions.

important points
Drying should not be done in direct sunlight or in hot winds.
As with other concrete surfaces, curing and timing after concrete surfaces are very important and should be done immediately after application.

Dosage of industrial floor hardening powder

The amount of material used can be between 4 to 7 kg per square meter, but in most industrial cases, 5 kg per square meter is recommended. (Contact us for more information).
